Middle and High School Students

Youth Venture Mentoring Network

A structured next step where young innovators validate ideas, reduce risk, and gain traction with guided, near-peer mentorship.

About This Program

The Youth Venture Mentoring (YVM) Network supports students who want to continue building their ventures after a class or program. Through structured virtual mentoring, milestone tracking, and supervised near-peer coaching, participants focus on validation, traction, and sustainable models — while receiving feedback grounded in an investor perspective.

How It Works

Students work in a structured virtual environment with near-peer mentors who have completed yCITIES programs. Sessions focus on practical progress: defining assumptions, gathering evidence, and iterating on the venture model. Milestone tracking keeps participants accountable and moving forward.

  • Structured virtual mentoring sessions
  • Near-peer coaching from certified youth mentors
  • Milestone-based progress tracking
  • Feedback grounded in an investor perspective
  • Focus on validation, traction, and sustainable models
