Inside the Mind of an Investor Intensive

Understand how real early-stage investment decisions are made — through judgment under uncertainty.

About This Program

Inside the Mind of an Investor (IMII) is a 2-Saturday virtual intensive exploring how real early-stage investment decisions are made: through judgment under uncertainty. Many angel investors rely on instinct because they've never learned a systematic way to interpret risk. This program surfaces how investors evaluate risk, weigh incomplete information, and arrive at rational, defensible "move-forward" decisions — just like actual angel groups do, often through discussion and consensus.

Program Structure

Designed for full-time students or professionals, the program combines two structured 2-hour Saturday Zoom sessions with asynchronous prep and follow-up work. Sessions are discussion- and debate-focused — no lectures — to mimic behind-the-scenes investor deliberations.

  • 2 live Saturday Zoom sessions (2 hours each)
  • Asynchronous prep and follow-up work between sessions
  • Discussion- and debate-driven format
  • Real early-stage deal scenarios and investor frameworks
  • Small cohort for meaningful dialogue
Prerequisite Prior exposure to entrepreneurship sufficient to engage in judgment-based discussion (e.g., coursework, startup experience, or investing).
Gateway Program This intensive is the gateway to all applied roles that follow. Participants have the option to not apply to any roles after completing the Inside the Mind of an Investor Intensive — participation in the intensive is valuable on its own.
