Jane has come full circle. Her career began in education as an accomplished and passionate education professional (piloting Project Based Learning in her second and fifth grade classrooms) and helping her school evolve. She earned both an M.Ed from Antioch Graduate Center and B.S Ed from Lesley University. Continually challenging herself, in 2000, she began a consulting practice which served technology clients of all sizes from start-up to Fortune 500 for over 15 years in business development, sales, industry and customer research/ analysis, and market strategy.
In the last 5 years her consulting practice focused on the Education market. She has been working with young, innovative technology clients which developed great services and technology for K to 12 and higher education. Her goal is to help her clients get to revenue quickly by 1) defining meaningful market offerings and solutions based on a solid understanding of the needs and problems of education ecosystem and 2) developing and executing the market strategy that gets them efficiently, successfully, and cost-effectively.
Her consultancy began in 2000 with a wide array of technology and services clients (from Fortune 500 to start-up) and broad market focus. She has worked with clients that offer services (outsourcing, news services, IP optimization, network and data management) and technologies (infrastructure, application software, LMS platforms, business intelligence, semantic). The services she offers include market strategy, competitive intelligence and industry and customer research and analysis.
She has held sales and business development roles at for-profit and non-profit start-up to Fortune 500 e.g. Perkins Products, Perkins School for the Blind, Xerox (Business Services), Quantic Communications, and eCent Technology.
In addition to her business development experience and consulting, she is an accomplished education professional. Having earned a M.Ed. and B.S Ed, her experience as an educator blends passion, problem solving, and achievement. She has been a teacher at elementary (second and fifth grades in Millis, MA) and university levels (Adjunct at Suffolk University, guest lecturer at University of Miami in Ohio, Bentley University, and Suffolk University) and a trainer to small businesses (Delivered sales and soft skill training).
Jane is a continual learner and is active in local professional organizations. She received Certificates of Professional Achievement from UC Berkeley Center for Executive Education in Product Management and from Northeastern University in Data Communications Systems Technology.
Jane has served as Director of Alliances for Boston Product Management Association (BPMA) for over for seven years. Previously she served as Manager of Alliances for Boston Product Management Association, was a member of the Education Foundation for the Mass Technology Leadership Council, and on the Program Committee for the Mass Network Communications Council.
